Full Circle Coaching Moment, NFL Combine, + More
Hard work is the answer. ALWAYS.
What’s up y’all? Cici here.

The Saga Continues…
WEEK 6/8 OUT OF DRAFT PREP IS CRAZY, BUT IT’S HERE!
Normally, after week 5 (and if all of our athletes are healthy and hitting their goals) we would go out and have a couple drinks to celebrate - but this year is different in many ways.
The team as a collective but (and me personally) have not had alcohol in months.
I think I did a toast with a glass of champagne at a wedding on New Years but other than that I have pretty much cut alcohol completely out of my diet.
I wouldn’t say that I was ever much of a drinker to begin with, but when I tell you I feel so much better without alcohol, I mean it.
I’m not against anyone who drinks, but right now I’m just not in the season for it.
I don’t have the capacity in my schedule to be spending any time recovering from a few drinks or feeling the effects of it the next day.
My morning routine has been a complete staple as it sets my tone for the day.
I have been starting every morning with a new coffee/supplement that my friend, old client, and colleague Kaleb Fossum put me on to.
I’m big on collagen and MCT oil and I used to add both into my daily coffee, but Strong Coffee already has both of those ingredients and it's an instant powder, which when I’m waking up at 3 am and on the road by 4 is best case scenario.
I’ve noticed adding this into my mornings has been a game changer because I no longer feel that jittery, anxiety feeling like I do when I normally drink coffee on an empty stomach.
I would be a much more unpleasant person in the mornings if I didn’t start my mornings right.
Waking up early and having a solid routine in the morning is the cheat code to productivity in my opinion.
We Go Way Back
Me and Kaleb go way back, like ‘back to one of my original clients’ back, and I was recently on his podcast.
The Uncommons Podcast highlights business owners, entrepreneurs, and individuals that are rising in their field and have a story to tell.
Whether you’re an athlete or a CEO or a science nerd, there have been a number of amazing episodes and guests who share their journey and I was lucky to be a guest.
We dive deep into my background and how I came into the position that I’m in. It was a real full circle moment for me because Kaleb was one of those high school kids that I just trialed and errored with when I first got started.
I would tell him and his friends to come to a high school field every weekend where we hopped the fence and I just repped everything out.
I saw what worked, what didn't, got experience, failed, got better, failed again, and learned A LOT.
A lot about myself, a lot about my athletes, a lot about how hard it was going to be if I was going to try to pursue this dream I haven't stopped chasing.
All of those bad reps and shitty drills I wouldn’t trade or go back and change if I had the chance.
I probably looked stupid doing it back then, but it set a foundation for me to grow as a coach and grow with my athletes - many of whom I still work with to this day in some capacity.
I share my story often in hopes that if you have some doubts on starting something that sounds crazy… do it anyway.
Keep doing it. You’ll fail. Keep doing it. You’ll look silly. Keep doing it. People will doubt you. Keep doing it.
